It's not the uncommon term that bothers, just your usual grammar... .__.
Anyway to answer your question:
I'll just explain it like this. You go on channel one, enter a field. Find monsters, kill one, and see loot bag. This will only be visible to you. Stealing your monster? Yeah, someone who also is playing on channel one, and at the same field as you (should appear in your screen) will be able to kill-steal. This is just rude and only a few bad-apples do this. LaTale is a friendly community so that barely happens, and even if it does. There's 6 more channels where you can go off to.
If you party up with others, the loots will be visible to you only unless the party's setting in changed to 'free'.
Getting back to the point; only the dungeons known as 'instance dungeons' used to need partying, now you can enter and do solo runs, but there's a higher chance that a newbie would be killed easily. Team-play is not mandatory, but more fun, and makes things easier. In some cases, such as high-level dungeons, you can't really do shit without being in a party.
.............. I see. So it is a Team-Play type... *write down in note*
...... I'm not as bright as you, so hope you'll excuse the fail grammars around, Ojou-sama......
