I need to, because it's been like 5 years I never do that...I haven't formatted my computer in about 5 years either, not necessarily something you have to do. Just general maintenance will keep your stuff working fine. But either way, if you really want to then you can just go to your hard drive right click and have it formatted.
Might want to have your Windows operating system disk to re-install if need be, sometimes that's a better option anyway to just install from scratch to start over.
