Lol.
Hey this is sort of random but I've been meaning to get into SGO, how strategic is it in comparison to Magic? The art looks amazing.
Didn't really play Magic because I was really lazy to even start with that, so I can't compare for you.
But I'll tell you about SGO itself, in case that helps:
- I think it's like any other card game in terms of strategy, just more random.
- There is a 20-30 second timer every turn.
- Grinding for cards is a lengthy process, or making a good deck, for that matter. It takes a lot of patience for getting the good cards, namely the Double Rares, rich kids just pays for 'em though. I suppose it's not a very casual-gamer-friendly game we're talking about, especially when one wants to possess the cards with powerful effects.
- It's apparently pay2win in terms of some of the really good looking & stronger cards (with fucking Talentium Bars on the newer character cards), because the company is a group of pansies (Korean one didn't do this).
- I know that they reduced amount of floors in the dungeons now, but I'm not sure how that goes now, completing dungeons are probably still a chore.
Fun fact, some of their ladder tournaments gave USD to the winners, the last one of those types of tournaments gave 1000$.
If you ever actually give it a shot and feel like PvPing me, do tell.
