I recently read and saw some fucked-up story and many typical plot in hentai manga. Especially NTR.
I tried to look and I found its characteristics:
- Most of them has really good art and some even colorized.
- Always looks erotic that make me hard everytime
- Characters some time stupid or cannot do anything
- Artist always draw with much details and how fucked up in their story as artist’s fetish turned on
- Always feel horible and sad after reading NTR
- Their works looks good but story ruined their effort.
- Some of them has chapters and progress that make it more curious to follow
Looks like many artist tried and working on NTR stuff so much. Even it can make people hate more than love on their work.
So, I have to ask something:
- Why it so popular and very attractive?
- Why people read it even it hurt feeling and corrupt on their own mind?
- What make this kind of work became mainstream?
- Why it always better art than other genre even cheating work?
- Why so many artist work with this kind of work?
- Is artist has his problem, fetish or horrible in their life to create this kind of work (also on guro and nasty stuffs)?

As someone of the vanilla faction I can say I watch NTR for 3 reasons.
1. There is no point to NTR if the art style is not good. So NTR primarily have great art and beautiful chatacters.
2. Sometimes it is refreshing to explore a possibility that could happen to a person. It's loosely educational and can be motivation to do better for your partner.
3. When the male protagonist does not seem good enough for the female protagonist. NTR usually holds useless male protagonists who is either not good enough for the girl or essentially directs the girl to cheat.
(Bonus) Try looking for netori content. Its usually scenarios where the MC steals girls from bastards

Pretty much this.
I'm a big NTR fan and pretty much never self-insert as the protagonist so I never really come away feeling sad or angry. (also FFS its porn, get over it...)
