There is no japanese hiragana or katakana for "l" so of course they would pronounce it differently in the japanese version of the game. And c'mon, Barlw?

They call him "Linku". I know since I've actually heard them say it. Although, it does have a slight "rr" sound to it. Like "rLinku".
