[color=#993300]Oooohhhhh....it sounds like you're making a geo-railgun, which draws on the environment around it. I'm gonna take a guess and say that the round gains the attributes for the area around it, or a modification of it. It'd be nice to see the round take a hyper pressure steam attribute in an aquatic environment. Instead of recoil dampeners and kinetic bleeders, I'd suggest using a feeder Muzzle Brake that can feed the recoil into a flywheel, which can store the excess energy and ultimately increase the rate of fire. I used this when I made the Gungnir HVCAR (with integrated ScRamjet Assisted Projectile) series.
And for the ammunition, why not use a coating system if we're already using nature aspects. It can turn the shape of the nail into something remotely close to an actual round, specifically KE Penetrators which look like this
. The natural energy can manifest itself into a physical form and held aerodynamically stabilize the round. This can be done by directly enchanting the magnetic wires which also removes the need of using runes/seals. This also simplifies the design and allows for easier maintenance. The only downside is that the wires would need to be made if Temporal Phase Crystals, which I luckily happen to have.
Sorry, but no. Adding attribute to the ammo is a good thing but there is no point. Only unnesseceary complications.
Wind seals to decrease wind resistance and to allow it to reach the target faster.
The feeding mechanism has seals as I said before right?
The issue isn't using regular nails as railgun ammo.
The issue is to make seals that inscribe the ammo with wind resistance decreasing seals. That is an issue that takes time.
Maintaining the weapon isn't hard. Using runic formula called "State Zero" turns the weapon into pristine condition, like it came from factory. It needs some materials, preferrably the same nails used as ammo and an magic from the weapon user.
I tried using seals to make it repair various inscriptions gone bad, but it sometimes turned them worse and have caused the various effects.
I remember one time that my invention turned into a pancake as a result.
Using Armour-Piercing Fin-Stabilized Discarding-Sabot (aka APFSDS) as ammo is a good idea, but the user will be bogged down with carring ammo. Try to explain why you carry those while getting searched. YOu can explain the nails, not APFSDS. But that scenario is not gonna happen much.
And Temporal Phase crystals?
I prefer to use liquid diamonds and nanites.

Can anyone analyze this for poison?
