[color=#993300]Well there are ways to let someone know that you don't want to date them without hurting them, but I never saw going too fast as a problem if you both believe that the situation feels right. Nevertheless, as long as you indicate that the date is meant to be casual, especially towards the beginning of the date, I believe things can work out.

Ya, I don't know about that... I date'd weird girls that fell immediately in love, yes in love with me. I gone threw this experience before at freshman year. I was just chilling, talking to friends, then my ex friend invites me to talk with them in there little group. I come, sit down, we talk, and 2 min later, i end'd up leaving the table with a date. My ex made her friends do all the work and I had no knowledge to what kind of a person my ex was, or how much she like'd me. Well, we had our date, everything went well, and the next day her friend tells me that she's in love with me. So i slowly get to know what kind of a person my ex was, and boy, she was a bit too crazy for me. From there on, I continue'd to date with her for a month, and decide to break up with her. Broke up with her, and the next day, I'm await'd by her friends boyfriends that want to jump me. Luckily, I was with my own friends and so they didn't try anything but call me a piece of shit and da da da. I decide to talk to her and her friends, and was able to calm things down, but everything still end up with them hating my guts. The End.

[color=#993300]Again, the way I see it, just state intentions. Not to sound corny or anything, but communication really is what does it.

Royal either you want to date the girl or you don't so you can either go out with her or break it off, simple as that. Don't lead her on and don't worry about hurting her feelings, because hurt feelings can't be helped. You just try to be as nice as you can about your honesty and whatever happens as a result is not up to you. I know I've broken shit off before and have been called a bitch and a whore before, but to me if someone get's pissed at my honesty then they probably aren't a person I want to deal with. It's not like you want to hurt someone, but that's how relationships work sometimes, especially when they just aren't right for you.

Ehh.... I just don't like going down the blunt route, but I quess there's times where you got no other choice but to do so.

I think the reason I became so blunt was because I've hurt people by not being honest in the past. I didn't want them to hate me or I thought that the issue would somehow resolve itself, but in the end things were worse and I lost a good friend. Never wanted that to happen again so I figured if they're going to get hurt, least it's the truth vs me being too chicken to be upfront.

Just know that she'll move on and that whatever happens afterwards isn't your fault. Rejection isn't a big deal and if someone makes it a big deal then they need to grow up some. I don't know of anyone, including myself, who hasn't been rejected.

Cool, now that you said that, I'll feel alot better of rejecting her, if I have too. Thnx Misa ^_^
