Lvl 18 nothing really powerful compared to my level, most ppl around my level have stuff in like the 1500-1700 CP but I am way under that for what ever reason....

i pop in and out of discord, seen looky and eve there

heck no, no point in powering it up, and then a few levels later you catch something that's nearly as strong as the powered up one
save your dust and candy till you're at a level you're sure you'll be at for a while, that way you aren't catching stronger stuff and wasting your items

I could maybe find gyms that low, which eventually get taken over by 1200-1700CP ones

with game being new here and only out for about week, i don't think there will be people with 1000CP+.
plus you can earn pokecoin from gym you have taken over.

only if you immediately cash in, cuz around here, gyms get swapped out often
can't hold a gym long enough to go find other gyms to take to maximize reward

there is gym next to me, from home it is a bit too far but when i click on it, it always show around 500CP pokemon and it has been like that for about last 3 days.
