Oh, I don't care if they stop making games for it. As long as I can still play my games on it.

you should be able to, it comes to games like final fantasy, where you need to pay monthly and need to log into a server, then it will come down to the game makers allowing you to log in or still sell sub for that game.

with final fantasy 14 the makers are stopping support but you can still play it on the PS3 but will not get any further updates

Don't care about Final Fantasy anyway.

With FF14, having to make it available on PS3 really holds back development. They cant advance the game, graphically, if it has to run on a older system

Am set up, but waiting for phoenix server to come available as it is full for now

for now, it all come down to the gamer makers,
id the keep on supporting the game, then you will get updates, new maps, new mission, but if the stop then you only get what has been released until the last update

I like playing my older games so hopefully its only FF it will effect.

My guess would be big online games that have no offline mode will slowly get their support cut
