I see. Well, mostly it's just eating together with the family and my sister not liking pasta that much these days. And since her husband is cooking most of the time...
Still, it's not like there's much to choose from, hard times or not, most of the time it's pasta or potatoes in any case.

More likely than not, you'd probably want something heavy to fill your stomach. I might suggest a good chowder or maybe perogis. Starch and meat are your best friends here
