As every year, this is now the official Fakku Eurovision discussion thread.


I swear, Norway sounds so very much like a pirate song... Well, still in my top 10 this year. Surprisingly disappointing sound in live, though.

Malta is good. Just good, not great.

Serbia is better. Not my absolute top 10, but still one of the better ones.

Latvia is about the level of Malta, maybe a bit lower.

Portugal once again pretty bad...

Ireland would be my 4th place in total, best in this semi-final.

Croatia is too insane for me.

Switzerland also one of the best ones this year.

Israel rather questionable...

Moldova is another quite good one, if not my absolute top again. Also reminds me a bit of the last three years of Ukrainian entries.

Sweden mediocre as usual, not even as good as her last winning song. Also quite ABBA, now that I hear it again, so that's another negative...

Azerbaijan another weak one.

Czechia also one of the less good ones.

Netherlands one of the better ones this year. Although just like Norway, less impressive live.

Finland is fun. :D

And for today's big 3...

France is another mediocre to weak one. Germany is a clear 2nd place, way ahead of everyone except the by far best Cyprus. Italy one of the better ones as well.


And as expected, a disappointing result with the best song of the day left out of the final.

Norway – was ok, the bit, there is like a twinkle sound to the music, which gives a hint of destiny

Malta - looks very cringe, first bit sound like we were gonna get some jazz and then it went to some jazz/funk

Serbia - not a fan of it, his seemed a bit muffled

Latvia - not a fan of it

Portugal – not sure what they were thinking, sounded like they were gonna do some ballad/opera and then it changes and changes, feels like they was
trying to fit as many different genres into one song

Ireland – feels like song by the queen, a football song and a charity song got mixed into one, it better then stuff played so far

Croatia – very unique, not for me

Switzerland – I do like this one, I think the best so far

Israel – feels very mainstream pop/commercial and they trying to go for sex appeal.

Moldova – this is a nice one

Sweden – feels like any other song

Azerbaijan – not for me

Czechia – parts of it seem nice, not sure about the rap bit, seems a bit kpopish

Netherlands – feels like another mainstream song

Finland – very different from other songs, still prefer when they sent Lordi

I see we agree for the most part.

Denmark certainly one of the best songs this year. Although also loses some of its greatness in live...
