Also, another advantage of Skype is saving group chats as contacts. As far as I know, MSN doesn't do that, so you need to manually add everyone into a conversation every time. If you create a group on Skype and add people to that, however, they'll be on that for good, unless the creator of the group kicks them out or they themselves leave on their own. Any conversation that goes on while any user is offline will appear as notifications when the user comes online again, and then it's just a matter of scrolling down the chat to see what was missed.
