We're also looking for an editor, do join if you're interested to help and have the time! Okay, so as the title says, this is a Fakku Voice Acting Society (FVAS) in which we'll be practicing dubbing, we dub anime/manga (we haven't been able to dub yet for one problems or another... ) we also do cold reading, from time to time if enough people are around on a Skype call, for practice. Also, let me make it clear that we're not really aiming for English dubbing, we simply wish to voice act by English dubbing, well that's my thought at least, other members may have their own purposes. And you who may want to join us may do so as well. For those who are interested in Voice acting, you may join but must let us know if you have any past experiences with Voice acting or not. You can go ahead and critique us only if you're experienced enough on it, but I doubt someone will do so. Anyway, the discussion about VA came up on this thread just in case you're interested. How to join the FVAS: If you're seriously interested then you may join us, do mention your type of voice and about your past experiences (if any). Do mention if how much time you have for this, it took me two hours to do 150+ lines, so now you know it isn't too hard to do the lines. Also, you must have Skype in order to communicate with each other and we'll also be able to confirm your voice too with voice calls. If you don't want to then it is advisable that you post a music/audio file (along with your form) with your voice recorded or a video clip or something. It is still highly recommended that you submit your forms, or else, you may not even be allowed to join. If you make an account on Skype or already have one then please post your Skype name along with your form, I'll send a contact add request and will then add you to the FVAS Skype chat on Skype. The 'specialties' means the different types of voices you can make. As for the 'audio samples', post a link of recording/clip of your voice, just so we can get what type of voice you exactly have, you may use vocaroo to post a audio record or post a download link after you record and create it yourself (with recording programs like Audacity), if you post a download link then use MF, its free so don't complain and you can never reach the uploading limits (200mb) since the audio files won't be that big. Also, the 'Usual Free Time' is what means when exactly you'll be available on Fakku and Skype generally everyday. An example of this will be let's say, "I'm available on Fakku and Skype on 2:00pm - 5:00pm and 8:00pm - 10:00 pm" or something like that. Lines: As I said, doing lines doesn't take too long, if you're not sure how to do the lines, then I'll introduce you to a pretty simple way on how to do it: Spoiler: First, go find the "Sound recorder" within the start button > All programs > Accessories > Sound recorder Make a short cut our of it somewhere first, then enter its properties after right-clicking, and then on its "target", and write, "C:\Windows\system32\SoundRecorder.exe /file outputfile.wav". After doing so, whenever you record anything through that shortcut, all the files produced will be WAV files, remember that all sounds files you record should be WAV files. If you know how to use Audacity properly, good, but the problem with that is, it takes time. Deadlines: For our dubbing, we usually set deadlines, for mangas, they are only a few days or a week long, for a chapter or two. If we ever do an anime, it may be longer or shorter, depending on amount of lines for the characters. But, if you fail to keep up with the deadlines twice, you'll be kicked out (exceptions may be veterans), this is because we want people with free times and those who have some determination, seriousness, and passion for doing voice acting, not those who lazes away or doesn't have some time to spare (like an hour?) for recording lines. Don't post your form here after you fill it, instead, PM it to me with the title as 'FVAS'. You won't be added until you submit your form. Those whose names are in the member list but their forms are not on the spoiler, they will submit soon (or never, lol).

As long as you have Skype to contact us its alright, but you will have to login on Fakku occasionally I think, so that you check the PMs regarding FVAS that are sent from time to time. I hope that's okay with you.

I'm curious. What would prompt someone to delete their account? I've never understood any benefits one could perceive in this.
