Seriously, can anyone manage to be that incompetent and stupid and stubborn and still manage to create such an empire? Hitler was one lucky bastard.
Rommel is my personal favorite, but the majority of German commanders and scientists were beyond competent. Even the soldiers pwn, but I guess you can't get to the top without political skill...
No, not really, it's all about politics. He's a politician, not a general.
Well, my pick will be Adolf Galland.

True, but even a politician should listen to his advisors...
Galland huh?I think of ol' Bubi, but my favorite would be Richthofen. But he's not in WWII...
I guess I like Steinhoff too
@Max: Yeah, bubi, 352 kills under his belt. How bout Rudel?
"Rudel flew 2,530 combat missions claiming a total of 2,000 targets destroyed; including 800 vehicles, 519 tanks, 150 artillery pieces, a destroyer, two cruisers, one Soviet battleship (the Marat), 70 landing craft, 4 armored trains, several bridges and nine aircraft which he shot down."
If we were to name all the notable fighters in the Luftwaffe, we'd never be done
People like Rall and Barkhorn...
makes people like Rickenbacker and Khozedub and Bong look stupid
A list of all flying aces in WWII reveals that the top 100 something are all Luftwaffe
Meh...I dun really care too much about modern
I don't consider there to be any real action, except maybe the Vietnam war and such, but even then, it wasn't really much of a war.
WWII was the last war in which there was a lot of combat
Although, with the new technology, I would really like to see what would happen. Excluding nuclear weapons, of course.
Interesting
Me, I just pick up a random book and throw it in the bag
But maybe I should focus on specifics, might be more helpful
Its interesting though, I kinda wish for WWIII but also kinda don't...
