It perfectly illustrates the problem. It incredibly offensive. Does it not imply that men are incapable of educating the young, or that they have nothing valuable to teach? Its just one more example of how feminists are fine with sexism and discrimination when its directed against men.

This sickens me. The actions and ideations of an extremist group shouldn't sully an entire movement that was conceived to strive for the progress of women's rights and stature.

"Feminist" shouldn't be a dirty word. It is/is becoming one because of these wackjobs. They shouldn't be representative of the whole. They're just the grenade-chucking, tree-humping radicals that the rest of us roll our eyes at.

This is one of the things I keep hearing from feminists when I bring up some of the violent and sexist ideas the movement has. That these radicals are only a small minority and don't represent "real" feminism. Yeah the thing is that I hear radical notions from so many feminists and from such prominent individuals in the feminist movement, that it leads me to conclude that while there are some women who call themselves feminists who are not sexist against men they are blind to the fact that it is actually they who are the minority and radical feminism is the mainstream.

Not only that but there's the fact that when radical feminists promote political policies and societal change that is harmful to men and gives women unfair advantages over men, the women who claim to be moderate feminists do nothing about it. It doesn't affect them, so even if they don't actively participate in discrimination against men, they're fine with just sitting back and letting it happen.

What does feminism (this is, not the radicals that are out for man shaming, and to have men eradicated, etc) actually stand for/ what rights do they wish/ are they trying to get, that they don't already have?

The one I can remember (and the only one at that, because I don't often think about these things) is the wage gap. Which (that link you showed me the other day would be lovely right about now reno. This one: http://idetesteverything.tumblr.com/post/91068022088/the-almighty-wage-gap-tm-a-comprehensive-analysis) appears to be false going off a link I was shown, which mentions a few laws that make it illegal, plus a few other stats.

But, makes me wonder why these people are feminists when they claim to want equal rights. Why not be whatever the fuck the people after equal rights call them selves. So, men get rights in custody, men get equal sentences to women (it's a known fact women get 40% less time in convictions/ that women get let off easily for a crime compared to what a man would get. Ie a man sleeping with a minor would get them a few years, woman can get a slap on the wrist almost), rights for rape charges. There is a massive issue with people claiming rape when it isn't, which is killing the lives of many men. Many have offed themselves, as everything turns to shit. They can't get a job, nobody respects them, they are treated like dirt. This is all even if it's found to be found as a false claim. It ruins lives. Anonymity would be a beautiful thing for the convicted, where the convictee has that.

I might also point out that this 'rape culture' we 'live in' isn't true at all. Rape is dealt with extremely seriously. As I said above, even if it's found to be a false accusation, the consequences of it are dire. Peoples lives are pretty much ended due to it. They have to drop everything and move, and even then it sometimes follows them. Hell, the consequences for rape in general, if proven true, are dire. It's not a slap on the wrist like many feminists appear to believe, but people get hatred spewed on them from almost everyone. They get sent to jail, they get no respect there. It's a serious accusation and a serious crime.
As one man said, just because it happens, doesn't mean we live in a culture of it, otherwise it would be a 'murder culture' a 'hoon culture' or even a 'fat culture'.
The only reason I can think that we'd live in a rape culture, is due to the alarming number of false rape accusations.
