No offense dude, but you shouldn't slack off in ANY of your classes. That's called being a bad student.
I think our definitions of 'slacking off' may be drastically different. I don't necessarily learn things quickly, so I always give at least 150% effort into my studies. As in, I take more time for studies, even at the cost of sleep.
For classes I've had trouble with, make that 200%+ effort, like, 3-4 hours of studying before I leave campus every day. This does not include homework.
I want to save time, since it takes me 3 buses to get to and from campus each way, so I will be doing some preparation before the term, so that I can cut an hour or so from my daily study time. Meaning, I'll already have a good-sized arsenal of kanji to start, making assignments, tests, and learning further materials less time consuming.
Then again, spending all this time to justify my motives to you is probably a waste of effort.
