Eh, France is not that bad, especially on the countryside like Chartres. Paris is awful, unless you're there for a visit. Twas fun while it lasted.

Lived there for two years, and never been in a worse country.

This is coming from someone who was born and raised in former Soviet country.

The post is shit, the administration is incompetent, the internet company is incompetent, there are strikes every three weeks, every appliance breaks down after a year, the houses are small, you can get raped in three different ways just by walking out into the street, and there are dog shits everywhere that's not Paris.

Germany is the only decent place to live. Or England, at very least, because they speak English at least.

I agree France is a good place for vacations, but it's a terrible place to work and live in.

But I'm now at such bitterness level, that it might as well not make a difference.
