I understand why you say it was kinda troublesome to play Wizard. Sorceress and Wizard kinda have the same gameplay. Well, they get strong late game.

Just wasn't quite fun. Although I also had the same old controller that was busted and would freak out all the time and hit random inputs, so maybe now that I have a new one that works things will be different lol. That controller made Last of Us far harder than it needed to be e_e

Wizard and Sorceress are kinda of a hassle early on but when you get the right skills, they do get better and fun to play with. Somewhat.
