Guile was based off a Nazi character

It's true. It suddenly came to me. I remember about a year ago, I discovered the King of Fighters character Bennimaru was inspired by Polnareff from Jjba stardust crusaders. But with the release of the new Jojo anime, it suddenly occurred to me, that Strohiem, a proud nazi officer, looks sorta like Guile and if one company based a fighting game character off an manga character, it's entirely possible that another would as well. So looking up Guile on the steet fighter wiki, I found this quote.

"Guile's design was inspired by Rudolph Stroheim of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure."

And as I said, Strohiem is a proud Nazi officer. Guile a proud American soldier.


Just some intersting video game info I thought I'd share.
