Unpleasant from the receiving end yes, especially if the receiver has a curious mind. Though if you look at it from the producers standpoint, one can certainly argue that it might just be all part of the plan. A way to build up hype which would either be totally worth it in the end or all for shit. Most of the time it never goes well but still... the feeling of crushing someone's expectations may just be the very thing they are after.
Nah, building up hype is a narrow way of describing discussions aimed to indulge as much population as possible. The dream of every troll.

Now for what I meant by the 'standing out', I see it as people stepping up quality and creating something entertaining [more so than it is now due to the already high standards in the fore-mentioned situation] even to the point where there is original content being created instead of the 'easy outs' and one-liners
Fuck high-standarts. Are we both building hype or talking as we feel like? For me it's the later. I'm against one-liners because the reason they appear is not having enough confidence to say what's on the mind, not because of a pseudo high-standart appearing from a massive conglomeration of oldfags at one instance.
That is exactly what the trolls want, it is what they are by definition. Hype train right into the wall of disappointment and rage.
They could care less about their lack of confidence as long as the hype outgrows them and the reaction is just as massive its just a gold star in their journals.
Us? Building Hype? Well that is a tough question. I mean we are clearly doing both at the same time since obviously our views of one another has changed a bit. And no doubt that whoever else is reading this would probably examine and judge this exchange as totally out of character in both of our regular posting patterns [to their knowledge, however limited, anyway].
People who hate us are probably getting mindfucked now.
EDIT: nah convo is fine
