Miyazaki only said it was a mistake because anime now aren't being used as a way to convey a story but just big business but that's true for all forms of all media except books, but they do something like this but it isn't necessarily the same. I can't remember any TV show, movie, or radio station to make me conveyed a story to me that was rememberable but that's just my opinion. What Miyazaki's point with anime we can see that most forms of media is being become something unmemorable and jaded instead of medium to tell stories.
