I said 'It wasn't anywhere near that bad' cause they were convincing the new leader that she was horrible. and they mentioned how I wasn't there for the start I said 'You have to admit, given the same circumstances, having two employees being abosolute shits, trying to turn everyone against you (ie, the two people the girls whinged about) you'd have been the same'
They agreed.
And, it's not really them bitching to me, they bitch to each other in front of us. Complain about the job fairly often to each other, and how much they hate people finding out what they do.
They also have a tendancy to just not do what they are paid to do. Which shits me when it happens. They just walk along and talk to each other.
The previous leader did tell me not to put them on drops together (as I was going to be taking over, but they thought I was too new, and valuable, apparently) as they don't knock at all, and fuck around.
Iunno, I'd feel like a taddle tale, but I have no idea what else I'd do. Say 'Oh hey, you guys should probably do some actual work' to have them say 'Who do you think you are? We get paid less than you, so we should be able to do less work' or something stupid along those lines. Or at least do it in front of me, and then whinge majorly behind my back, or whinge to the leader. It's a bit shit.
Of course, I don't want that to sound hypocritical. It just annoys me that they aren't doing what they get paid to do, and complain constantly, when there is at least 5,000 other people in the state that would be more than happy to take over the job, and have some stable income.
They let you do the knocking? Unprofessional cunts. It's a general rule that knocking chicks would have a better chance in getting the deal. Though it depends on the time you're knocking I guess... How do you choose who's knocking?
Anyway, if it's as shitty as you make it sound then I would've went into a tantrum if they didn't comply to take shifts on knocking. If it doesn't work on first time, it should work on tenth, if you don't get fired after the second that is. I take it you do your job properly so they wouldn't have much on you to take to the boss. And besides you said the boss liked them, so snitching is useless.
As much as I try to be understanding and sh*t, but not having a clear boiling point really ruins your life. And the knocking part would piss me off after a dozen of times.
It's not shifts as such, we knock pretty much constantly from 9am to 4pm. Bar a few breaks for lunch and smokes. Also aside from when we are picked up and get moved to a different road
We all do the knocking at the same time. Just when we get picked up, sometimes they are in the van, sometimes we're on the same road (one person each side, or in their case, two on one side, and me on the other)
Also, guys seem to work fairly well in this. The girls have their 'bubbly' personalities to use, and we seem to go with laid back, and it works well.
I do my best. Didn't get many leads this week. Wasn't having a great week. But, generally my sales are up fairly high. The two girls in particular (one is decent, whilst she complains) get very low amount of sales and leads. And the lead quality is generally low for them (Basically, we have a script, and the more you tell them about the appointment/ the more things you confirm, generally the stronger it is. Especially if they are interested in solar. They don't really care, and just want leads to look good.
The boss likes them, because of their personality. She never actually see's them, or how they are on the road, because of her being from the mainland. And they act like they care when she is here.
It's an interesting job, but I enjoy it for the most part, and try pretty hard to get leads and keep everyone happy. Not a huge fan of conflict, or being on people's bad side, so I just generally sit back and ignore them.
It's hard to explain, and hard to understand I imagine, especially since I'm from the other side of the world, hah.
But yeah, their attitude about it is annoying. I have heard stories about somebody telling the boss about people not doing their job, and that person got in some shit, because of the person in question (so in my case, the girls) said the accuser was lying or full of shit/ not doing their job or something, and that persons job being put on the line.
Would be interesting nonetheless. I honestly feel if their attitude towards the job is that low, the boss should know, especially if she's considering taking them on up in melbourne

and nah, being on different sides of the world just requires more wording.
Though I'd still tape their fuck-arounds and keep it in case they piss me off. Or maybe not ^____^
