Going to sign up in college for an associate's degree in nursing
I hear the school of nursing can be a bitch so good luck.
There three different nursing programs in town here. My cousin sign up in 2001 and got in 2010. The other one waited a whole 3 months. Lottery is tough here. The Class isn't all that hard.
Wait, so the college "waiting lists" aren't urban legend!?
For nursing yeah.
Another problem may be job opportunities, a good thing about the ADN is that you get things done in 2 years, but jobs are tough to come by with only a 2 year degree to back you up (for my area they only want BSNs). You may need or have to work another year or more to obtain your BSN, (I don't have much information at this time on the subject sadly) so make sure you do your research just to be safe.
I do wish you good luck on the degree, it's gonna be tough (believe me I know) but it can be rewarding if you find something you love outta it.
Yeah, I heard so from relatives who became nurses. The longer the degree (2-4-6), the more the job opportunity because of less competition. Thanks for telling anyway, Chi. ;)
