What do you mean "what will happen"? I think it's a good system, it encourages people to upload more files, feels good to know your work is appreciated.

Yes i would agree a "thank you" reply is more encouraging. But it seems like people prefer to just hit that "+" button instead, and i'm okay with that, it's like an anonymous "thank you".

Personally I don't see much of a difference between a + Rep and someone actually posting Thank You, sure the latter is nice and always appreciated and welcome but a+Rep still lets me know people enjoyed it.

And unfortunately, people don't say thanks and +rep, I'd rather know people are coming and enjoying things.
