On the other hand nothing of value is ever posted in IB, hell, at times barely anything at all is posted in IB. While I can understand being sick of all the shitposting it's almost better than having a complete draught. To be fair people probably post like retards because nothing better is going on. IB feeds on drama and for some reason shit has been strangely dramaless lately.

Someone needs to rustle some major jimmies and jump-start IB.

Honestly IB used to be a lot more harsh towards the new users.
Perhaps the older users have grown out of bothering to call B.S. on new users. I think Skype has a lot to do with it. Don't wanna look at peoples shit posting on IB?
Just go on Skype and talk to the users you do like talking to.

With the increasing popularity of Fakku and less users willing to continue the hazing tradition of IB to deter shit posting, the section will inevitably become diluted with more shit.

Without mentally unstable users who refuse to leave, people just find ways to entertain themselves. Though when there are persistant shitposters, after a while people just get told to "Ignore them and they'll go away, stop feeding the trolls", then when they do go things get stale again. It's a vicious cycle.

I agree it's stupid to feed the trolls or to make threads about specific users/your boring life, but I'll only agree that it is stupid. No one here really has a responsibility to do anything other than follow the rules. Maybe(IB gets special consideration due to the nature of this section).

A lot of funny/cool/interesting people wouldn't have bothered to stay if this place was a circle jerk where users felt "morally" obligated to act a certain way for the sake of the almighty forum. And before you start, I know this is not a demand but a suggestion to make this a "better place".

A lot of the funny/cool/interesting people have left/ gone awol due to the current nature of things from my understanding... Either that, or they have got better things to do.

In my opinion, the new breed of users weren't deterred much from IB for it to be called a special place where they should behave appropriately because they're new.
We lack the will to deter newfags from IB for them to visit it and be curious of what's going on, or for the board to gain a certain amount of reputation (be it good or bad) for it to be respected by new users and to only post when that user have lurked enough to brace themselves of the mockery they will face for not having enough post count (or in oldfags cases, not having the Fakku Elite / Fakku Elder status).

Also, we become more serious about this growing online epidemic that we tend to forget the main reason on why we are here: Y SO SRS? I mean srsly. When I joined here, Freaks made that shit award about users (with Art being the best newfag). Cuntw0n made comics (and some reposts from lolol guy). Medzy and anus-kun duplicate avi's. Deftera Mirage had that chest-thumping captain america GIF. Jacob placed oversized santa hats on our avi's. That creepy cream guy eating himself as a page BG. That unstoppable HEYEYEAHHH shit everytime you visit IB.

Those are just some of the things that, for me, made IB different from other boards. The act of goofing around and actually sharing (what you think is) quality content to others VIA FAKKU.NET INCOHERENT BABBLING BOARDS.

We can still do this, IB people. We just lack the liquor to drink while posting here.

This is true. I suppose the elitist attitude has died. You're actually not wrong, it did seem to die mostly when the 'fakku elder' and 'fakku elite' status' stopped being there. That and rep. The kids didn't get as mad about neg rep with the new system it seems.
