I tasted ramen yesterday. Taste resembled the smell of plasticine, mildly. Spat it out and threw it into the toilet. I can't believe peole eat that shit.
You do realize that you're supposed to flavour the noodles and add meat and vegetables to it right? Also what brand of noodles did you buy?
Flavor them? They said they were already chicken flavored, but didn't taste like chicken. Also,
the brand is generic.
And that my friend was your mistake, generic/no-name brand noodles are shit, all they are is starch and fat, they use a deep-frying method to dehydrate them. The flavouring packets pretty much just contain salt and dye. Edit: Even if you did add the flavouring packet it's not going to taste all that great. Make sure you reduce the amount of water the instructions tell you to use so you can get more of the flavour in there.
if you're looking for wheat-flower or egg noodles it's worth spending the extra ten cents per packet to go with a brand like Ichiban or Ramyun, if you want cabbage noodles go with Nong Shim's Kimchi lineup, the flavouring is quite spicy but the noodles are thick and if you don't like it hot you can always come up with your own soup base. If you like Indian go for Mi Goreng, it's a tad bit on the expensive side as far as noodles go but by far contains the best flavouring you can get straight out of the packet without adding anything to them.
