Vote on what lol. Btw I agree rep is rare, so it needs to have some value. But setting it at 30 is just too high, especially because we all know that rare as it is, in some cases the value is next to nothing due to how easily people give and receive it just for who they are, not what they do. That's not the original purpose of it, and as such, reduces the value it might carry.
So I suggest we put it as some number higher than 1 (value of post) but not too high it completely kills the worth of posts. I propose 3 or 5 to be the value of rep.
Also, I suggest for the zenny cap to be discarded. Why put a limit on how much we can have?

Well, that's why there is a 10 as an option for rep...and as for the cap, that's something from the last game that I added because people wanted me to. If enough people want a change, however, I would consider it

Okay, so I read the OP and I think I get the idea more or less.
Rep being unresolved is a major issue, and I think it needs to be corrected. But I also see Mibu's point. While I'm far more active than my rep and post count implies, and thus would like rep to have value, there is an inherit flaw.
It comes to me at a slow rate. I earn it. But if two people decided to rep each other as a sort of cartel movement, and rep worth was high, it could be used to exploit the game. So there needs to be a balance of some sort. A sort of quality control police would be impractical, but there possibly needs to be a way of handling exploitative behavior.
Because in the end, I think Mibu hits on part of the problem. People are having a hard time figuring out a good value for rep because it's different for each person.

I mean no offense, but Lucia definitely is one of the people that demeans the value of rep. On the other hand, it's given simply because the user is 'adorable' or whatnot, silly jokes etc. I'm not saying that it's wrong to give rep for those things, to me it's similar to money, a form of power, we spend it however we wish. But just like money, we can't value it too highly or we lose our way.

I admit some of mine were for random things but there are also things threads/helping people and stuff that I did get rep for that was really worth it lol I think anyone who has a lot of rep can be seen as some of those rep given may not have been for what "others" may not deem satisfactory for worthyness of a rep lol

I agree with you in that rep for those who try hard should get more, but quite frankly there are another million things that should ne more fair and yet is invariably not viable.

Fine, lucy is right we were only asked to vote, not discuss. And while I normally think discussion is usually the best way, it seems like a tense topic, so for now I will simply vote.
I vote for 10. It seems like that would have the best balance. That way it's like a power post, as if it's a critical or something, and would allow enough posts to be valuable to lower members and higher count members alike.
I'm a bit confused by the zenny cap though. Is rep exempt from the cap or part of it?
And may I say, I do think high post count being less valuable after a point is a good idea. It allows for newer members to catch up to some extent and discourages spamming. But only if the cap is off.. that way senior members can still earn more if they want, and be rewarded for their efforts lower value or not.
