Backlog time. So this is late and here is how we fix it. We have about three translators who work on multiple shows, could use one more but that is not important right now. Our bottleneck is in timing. We currently have two timers who are relevent right now Fggibberish and myself. I can not count on fgg all the time as he has other things to do and I have been doing this for almost four years now and I'm getting tired sometimes. On top of that I am moving next month to a location where it will be hard to work on hentai related releases as a side project to anime fansubbing. The solution to this is to just recruit a bunch of new timers. Something might sit for a long time before someone even times it, few days, and that is unacceptable. I know thats hypocital for me to say that when sometimes that because I am being lazy but its now time to do something about that.
So timers, we need them. Timing is literally a job that anyone can do. When I say anyone I mean anyone. People often consider it a grunt job but it still needs to be done. For those of you who have no experience in timing and want to learn watch
this video that one of the aegisub devs made a few years back. Take note the software has changed a bit since then but is still fundamentally at its core the same. You can load the video, audio, and subs of just about any current mkv release by any group that uses softsubs (almost all of them now). Get a script or two of practice in and then if you feel confident send me a message on irc. The only thing that is not mentioned in this video that is deadly important is this button
right here. Changes the audio from wave form to spectrum mode. Spectrum is easier after some practice with it. (Turns out that is in the video and I just overlooked it but whatever its important so make note of it)
You can contact me on irc.rizon.net ( http://rizon.net/ ) under the name of Sindalf. All staff is required to use irc for easy contact and communication. I want to be able to actually sub everything that comes out in a month. We have the translators for it but not the timers.
You can find most, if not all, of our old releases
here.
If you want to donate to cover our server costs you can PM me and I will give you my paypal. $110 out of $50 raised for this month.
