That's not quite right. While Fakku and ProjectH are the biggest sources in the West and they make up for the vast majority of the market, they are not the only sources available. r18.com also sells digital downloads of hentai manga and anime, although most of their selection is untranslated.
Fakku is easily the best source for quality. However Project H has a different selection of content and I haven't had a real issue with their physical products. I haven't had any problems with videos downloaded from R18, but I haven't tried their manga downloads yet.

I bought a couple of videos, downloaded them, let my membership expire, and then tried watching them again several months later and I couldn't b/c it said my username/password weren't valid anymore.
And yes, I did *buy* them, not rent them. This is why I hate DRM w/ the heat of a thousand suns.
Also Windows Media Player.
