Using Windows 7 with the Taskbar set to auto-hide at the top.
Tip on how to hide the recycle bin while still making it readily available.
1. Go to the desktop icons settings in Windows 7/Vista.
2. Change both of the Recycle Bin icons(Empty and Full) to a blank image. There should already be one in the default shell file.
3. Right Click the Recycle Bin and press Rename. Hit the spacebar as many times as you feel like, it's always good to let out some rage.
The Recycle Bin should now be completely invisible, while still giving you the ability to empty it from your desktop.
For Windows XP users.
1. Open Notepad and copypasta this inside of it.

"Attributes"=hex:50,01,00,20
"CallForAttributes"=dword:00000000
2. Save the file with the .reg extension using any name you feel like.
3. Double click the file, a prompt should come up asking you if you want to merge it with the registry, click yes.
4. Follow steps 1, 2 and 3 written above.
