Please don't bring up the Mac VS PC argument...you know Mac Users are really proud of what they use and arguments can get really ugly. So don't feel sorry for me, OK? I love my Mac. :D

I don't argue. I feel sorry for everyone that can't run and play the great VN's we have in the games section. It really is something that makes macs not as "fun" as PCs. Tho there are people with PCs that still don't know how to get them to run without a step by step tutorial. I feel sorry for them too.

I actually do have to go into Boot Camp when I game. I do agree - Macs suck for gaming. I've used a Mac all my life and I know what they're not good at.

For VNs I don't have to reboot into Windows though. I just run them straight through Parallels because they're not very graphically intensive. I only reboot into Boot Camp when I play stuff like CoD.

Boot camp? Never heard of it. I have used PCs all my life and the first time I got on a mac it locked up (it hates me I know it). Tho I hate Vista with a passion so I'm not biased. I hate aspects of both of them (XP FTW). Maybe you should write something up that explains to all mac users how to get VNs to work cause it's a problem that has come up before. You might be the only other mac user on here I see besides Ryugi (that's not a leech).

Boot Camp is when you run Windows natively on a Mac. Parallels is when you emulate Windows on a Mac. Emulation works for apps which aren't very demanding on the system like VNs, and when the app gets too demanding (like good games), Boot Camp is the way to go.

Yeah, Windows Vista is epic FAIL. I'm currently running Windows 7 on Boot Camp / Parallels because Windows 7 apparently really fast. Attached is a screenie of Parallels emulating Windows 7.




Of course I would take it that most people would want to run XP (I will too when the BETA expires, and 7 being a BETA system does have some compatibility issues just like what Vista suffers from). I can write up a guide if there's actually a demand for it. If I write such a guide, where do I post it onto?

Post the guide in the games section and it will be made a sticky. It is a problem that has been brought up in the past of people asking how to work daemon etc on a mac. The answer given was you're shit out of luck. I'm sure someone would get some use out of it. Just name it "guide to play games/VNs on macs." People should be able to get the general idea from that. The PM a admin and or mod to have it sticky'd.

I love random; good shit happens when you least expect it. On another note, what in the hell happened exactly to the whole 'post the cleans with the background image' policy? A lot of pepul likes what they sees, and if there iz no clean, then they haz to request one and wait, hoping that the poster takes the time to check back and see that somebody wants a clean. It's inefficient and downright disgraceful iz what it iz! [Note: apply extreeeemely sarcastic tone to previous statement, then read it again with said tone in mind. :lol: ]

Also, it is my intention to mass post pretty mush all of my old wallpapers that I didn't get around to sharing when I was actually using them. Please look forward to it. :wink:
