I agree it had a great soundtrack, my favorite video game sound track of that year but the rest not so much.

Some characters were hits, others were misses. Some were just blatant pandering and poorly executed.
The story wasn't groundbreaking, and neither was the meta-narrative. If your game is as binary as most games, being critical of most games, ones you take direct influence from just seems like you're falling flat on your face. Not that most undertale fans are familiar with those games.
