I bought the game the day it came out and I have to say, finding out how to kill each colossus was so fucking enjoyable.
I didn't kill them again though, that endgame bullshit for rewards.

I bought it the day it came out too...
I got home and put it in the PS2, and sat in shock at the AMAZING musical score. But thats where the fun ended for me. I think my attention span is too short, but I played it for a few hours and got sooo bored! I never finished the game, prob made it about 70% through and quit.
But the art and the music in the game were possibly the best I had seen that year.

The game was revolutionary to me, though at that time I really had only played four games seriously.
I guess the reason I was able to enjoy it so much was due to the fact I spent hours wandering around doing pointless things.
During combat I'd just ride my horse around the colossus while firing arrows at him. I know it didn't do any damage, but it was just so enjoyable to "roleplay" back then.
Regardless, the game was great.
