so there's this story about dopplegangers that base the 'monster' on dolls and other human shaped objects. If it up and disappeared all of a sudden it may have found the right person to take the body parts from to become them.
The doppleganger stalks their victim over a varying period of time. Once it knows enough of the victims fears and daily routine it will go into a planning stage. During that time, other people will be targeted for trivial body parts such as internal organs, hair, and bones. Well as long as they closely resemble the intended target. These 'first kills' are only just a ruse to help disguise the doll into looking more 'Human'. This helps the doppleganger into fooling the targets family and friends to gain more information on the person the doll is fascinated with. Broken language, a voice that doesn't match the bodytype, body language that doesn't match the bodytype [ex: doll flicks hair away from the front of the face, imitating the target, yet at the current stage doesn't actually have hair in front of their face or is somehow bald] are a few signs that whoever the 'information taps' are talking to isn't really a person. The rest of the more crucial parts like the eyes, face [really the whole head] along with the skin and muscle are all taken directly from the intended target at the very last stage of the doll 'stealing' that persons identity. What causes a doppleganger to target a person is usually as simple as the person smelling appealing to the doll, or as in this example...SIMPLY BEING AROUND THE DOLL MULTIPLE TIMES. The doppleganger is attracted because of the familiarity and thus a target is marked for stealing.
TL;DR : Tanasinn recalls traumatizing bedtime story, Doll might have targeted OP. OP better figure out how to kill it before it gets back to him.
I miss the nightmare threads.
