We were playing futsal.
A: I wonder why I can't commit suicide.
B: That came out of nowhere.
A: It came out of my mind. So answer.
B: You want the religious argument or the moral one?
A: I know both. And I also have my answer to both. It has nothing to do with those.
B: Haha. Yep, you dismantled both arguments before.
A: I know damn well those don't apply to me, but I still can't commit suicide anyway. Daaaamn.
B: You don't look stressed though. Why would you wanna die?
A: It has nothing to do with stress! I'm just wondering how despite my curiosity I can't muster the courage to just die already! It's a liberation!
B: It's because we're just replicators. You haven't passed on your genes yet, so there's this thing in you that makes you cling to life.
A: The evolution argument huh... fuck.
B: Yeah, haha.
A: ...
B: I still don't get it. I only think about suicide when I despair... say, a chick shot me down or whatever. But you... it's like you're itching to die just for the sake of dying.
A: I told you, it's a liberation. I really admire those that follow their curiosities all the way. Fuck those weak despairing ones, death is supposed to be cool.
B: I think you need a psychiatrist. Really.
