EXEC_with.METHOD_METAFALICA/. isn't simply the combination of EXEC_METAFALICA/. and METHOD_METAFALICA/. Please know that. It is far more than the sum of its parts; i.e. those two songs. They are hymmnos extract songs, and as such, obey the rules of extract songs. What are those rules, you ask? Let us tell the most important one by mentioning an important point; the names of extract songs are never fully written in the album. If we're writing it in full, all of them will be something like this.

Ridiculously long, yes. That's why the short form of the name is used. But the shortening also makes unnoticable one very important thing about the song; they're dependent on who sings them and the emotional state of the singer. Mule singing EXEC_VIENA/. won't be the least bit similar with Luca singing it. Luca in phase 1 and phase 5 will sing them differently, 'singing' is never just lyrics memorizing and saying them in Ar Ciel. Singing is the act of sending H-Waves to the server, which in return 'reads' the wave and sends back D-Waves to the Reyvateil requesting it, which will then be used to accomplish whatever effect that is instructed in the song. And what is H-Wave, D-Wave thing I'm saying? Simply put, H-Wave is the wave of the mind. Our feelings. And D-Wave is in its simplest terms, energy. Therefore singing in the Reyvateil sense isn't even related to our definition of singing. Only the feelings and imagination is needed to 'sing', the voice and dance are merely to enhance their focus. So it's only obvious that different person will sing different thing, and aim for the same goal in a completely different way.

As such, the two parts of Metafalica hymns aren't just hymns. They also carry a great deal of Luca and Cloche in them. When Luca sang EXEC_METAFALICA/. she began with 'Nn i ga' but EXEC_with.METHOD_METAFALICA/. is begun with 'Was yea ra'. That alone speaks volumes about the difference between the two songs. The Luca that is sincerely wishing to realize Metafalica is in no way similar to the Luca that was forced to sing for Gaea. She wasn't simply executing a program that she memorized as instructed. She is singing out the manifestation of her wishes, her hopes, her dreams. Any feeling being, worthy of the greatest gift called emotion can tell the obvious difference of a forced alien steps and your very hopes and dreams.

Now, Cloche. The difference is more subtle in METHOD_METAFALICA/. but it is just as important. When she first sang it, she was simply baring her heart for all to see. She was showing her sincerity. The song has no effect of its own. All it does is to connect the minds of all involved, combine their H-Wave, and send it to a target as a single tremendous bulk of H-Wave to the server to get ridiculous amount of D-Wave. So when she first sang it, it actually is for nothing. She had no target to send all H-Wave, thus she had no need to collect any. She was simply connecting the minds of all present for them to see she really is serious about Metafalica. She really believes in that legend and she is about to realize it. A big thing, but that's where it ends. Now for the big stage. She has a target; her own sister that is executing the main program. Should she fail, Luca would lose her life. The stakes are big. Cloche is just a girl, of course she gets scared. But that's also the time where she had to bear people looking into the deepest of her mind. All her fears, trusts, hate, everything about her is to be seen by them when she has a very important person to worry for. She trembled, she almost broke up to the pressure. That was the reason why she stopped singing from 1:32 to 2:31, she was trying to get over the pressure. "Luca is gonna die, it'll be all my fault.... no, I can't accept that... but... No! Don't look into me! Please!" We can say she is just a weak princess, but really, can you blame her? Everyone knows the feeling of great pressure. And she managed to get over it, unlike other people like Aurica who was just... well, sitting there screaming for her prince. In that aspect I have to say, despite me not liking Cloche, she is a great person, an awesome girl I'd hang out and treat just like I treat my bros.

We can go into other details concerning those 3 songs. A lot more can be said, such as the lyrics which told us the legend of Rhaplanca, Mao and Implanta. We can also discuss the tone used as the song is sang and how that relates to the legend itself and the emotional state of the singers. Even for Ar tonelico standards Metafalica is extraordinarily deep, and that's saying a lot, as it is such a deep and soulful series.
