hey...is it natural for people to move on to another environment where they could be more respected and gain more recognition than the previous?

It’s another boring day here in class. It’s already summer… and we are in our summer uniform. Even though we are wearing cool clothes, it’s still so hot! Talk about a boring hot day in school. I even receive some special care from the sun because I sit in the damn back left corner of the room, next to the window.
Oh I’m sorry, I forgot! My name’s Yuuki by the way, written as “Courage”. I’m a freshman student here in Fakurezu High. Well anyways let’s start with the story shall we?

“The Bell Rings – Its Lunch break”

While I was thinking what to eat for lunch, a person stands next to my table with his glare focused at me.

“Hoy~, Yuuki let’s go eat lunch. Hehe!”

This here’s Rin, Matsumoto Rin. He’s my childhood friend, an energetic, cheerful and a serious person when it comes to serious business. We always played sports and computer games together when we were still kids.

Maybe... Depends on the situation
Leaving somewhere, means leaving friends behind. Which I actually do very often... Sadly.
It could be for better or for worse. There too many variables to actually determine it. But it should be natural for people to move on to an environment where there are more respected and be able to gain recognition from others.
But on the other hand. It's all dependent on the person involved, because he may not actually care about recognition and respect, but only respect himself. So he can be an all out Otaku, and still enjoy life. Rather than pretending to be someone noble, polite person, when deep down they aren't thus living a lie.

That's what I think...

if ya really care about rep and recognition then it's natural but i think staying with your friends is by far better (since they care about ya and recognize ya the way you are)
