Most Asian countries are far less tolerant and care far less for political correctness than the US. In fact most "Western" countries are far more tolerant.
That may be true but in the US we have more variety. This tends to make stereotyping a kind of hobby, if you will... Though it's been going on for so long here, that people have come to accept it as part of the culture. So its not as offensive as it used to be.
