Watch EOE first though. It's a better recap and ending.
I'd recommend watching 1.11 fully though. Gives you an overall much better experience. A much less faggy shinji, and some other slight chances. But otherwise, yeah, recap with better animation and less shitty shinji. The voice of akagi changing will hurt you deeply though

Stop being a pansy and just watch all of them. Rei is best in originals Eyepatch/Baby-Making-Hips Asuka best in Reboot.
