@ Neo : Just as you said I've noticed a few mess-ups, but what I've heard you're pretty talented at it. But you need to stay calm and try to improvise a bit, since some of the plays seem a bit tense and awkward. Try not to play too fast, get the feel of it, enjoy yourself! Watching live performances might help

I like your choice of melodies, some of those were really nice sounding. To tell you the truth, the 7th and 9th keys and scales were something I hate to touch since it's tricky.

Hahaha, the truth is, yeah, I was kinda tense, but it's not because of the recording, it was because well, I haven't played in a while so I lost my techniques and I forgot how to play the songs >.<;

I'm not that good at improvising yet, although, I can haha.

How did you learn the songs, by guitar tabs? Or playing it by ear?

I actually prefer the second one, since tabs doesn't give me a clue about the actual feel of the song. And it couldn't made me grasp the time signatures in it.

There were various chords where you put some variation to the notes to induce a colorful sound, rather than sharp, flat notes in the classical music. These were Jazz chords, the common ones including:

11th, 9th, 7th, 6th.(E.G : F11, G9, C7, D6) There were also diminished and augmented chords(Adim(A-), Daug(D+)). You could also find some 'added' ones if you look at the chord tables. Such as Fadd9, Gadd7 etc.

There's also power chords, mostly used in electric rock guitars, it's the 5th.

Never experimented that much, but some of those would be pretty tough to play.

Guitar - Tabs - 35%, Ear - 65% Haha
Piano - Scores/Music Sheet - 80%, Ear - 20%

I can play by ear on piano, but I can't get the chords, as for guitar, I can almost perfectly play by ear =)

To grasp the Time signature, I just play along the song or listen to it countless times~

My best way to grasp the time signatures is by doing the vocals, and playing the chords that's harmonious to it.

I can't really play instrumentals, the only ones I could play is probably the ones with the slowest pace. If I could somehow figured it out, I usually slow down the pace to the point where I could play all the notes.

Play around 2 hours per day, it'll really help. Once I pick up my guitar or piano, I won't stop until at least 2 hours have past, well, I don't even realize it haha.

I'm not ambitious about it, since I played just for fun, mostly it's about 15-30 minutes. But I usually play more than 2 times. Mostly with the vocals....=P

Hahaha, well, for me, I just really love playing music^^ If it brings me somewhere, than I'll be more than happy =D
