Heaven
In Touhou, Heaven (Tenkai, lit. Celestial World, 天界) is a collection of separate realms existing above the Earth. One of them, Bhava-Agra, is the setting of most final battles in Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, and can be reached by climbing the Youkai Mountain. Bhava-Agra is also where Tenshi Hinanawi and her family live. Suika Ibuki may occasionally be seen there as well.

Celestials, Angels, and other heavenly beings reside there. These residents generally live carefree lives filled with fishing, song, dance, sake, and peaches. They may also find enjoyment in viewing events that unfold on the Earth.

Celestial[/font]
Celestials are former humans, hermits that can be divided in two classes: those who gained immortality and ascended to heaven, and those who attained enlightenment and entered Nirvana. Unlike humans who have daily hard lives on earth, they live in a carefree manner enjoying music, fishing and playing games. They usually descend to earth to say absurd things that trouble normal humans and then return to heaven. Celestials' bodies are poison to youkai, and beasts are awed by them. They can also fly and ride the clouds giving them a frightening, god-like appearance.

According to Komachi Onozuka, celestials are not truly immortal. Instead, they manage to defeat the shinigami that comes to collect their souls on a routine basis, continually extending their lifespan.

- Certainly, no small number of people would like to live a dream-like lifestyle such as this

- However, to become a celestial, humans must free themselves of worldly desires. In other words, the first requirement is certainly to not be the sort of person who would yearn to lead such a life.

- Likely, most people would not meet this requirement.

- The celestial world is said to exist over the clouds, but in reality this is not the case.

- It actually exists far above the Netherworld.

- The dead, of course, can visit it, but it's also possible for living people to go there.
