My favorite Touhou Character would probably be Yukari, mainly because Necrofantasia is the best song in the entire series, and that boss fight killed many hours of my time.

As for my first Touhou experience? I think it was back in middle school when EoSD first came out, since I saw it on an anime blog, because it was also around the same time I got into anime.

She's your favorite for being a tough nut to crack?

Of course! Otherwise I probably wouldn't have put forth the effort.

Have you tried the fighting games?

Yeah, my friends and I use to play SWR back in High School, but I haven't touched it in awhile, mainly for the fact there is no one to play with.

That one's far different than her actual style, but I'm confident that she could do it on paper, not sure about the coloring ones though, it would probably miss out for about a small margin.
