Touhou Game Club

I would love to join the Touhou club, (if you will have me, of course). I'm relatively new to the franchise, but I really enjoy playing the games, and the characters are all so interesting and unique. I'm just surprised that I haven't gotten into it sooner. I still haven't fully completed a game yet, (and I'm still on the easy setting), but I'm still trying, and still having a lot of fun with it.

So, here's my character title:

TwilightEngel: Young Lady of Death

(I decided to go with an Alice title since she is currently one of my favorite characters so far).

Also, does anyone have any good strategies for a beginner such as myself? I usually make it to the fourth stage, (in the 7th and 8th games-I can't get passed the second round in the 6th), and for some reason, I always have trouble getting past that.

Enemies in vertical shooter touhou always shoot their bullets based from a pattern.
Analyze it pretty well and keep re-playing the game will be your only solution here. And remember, running away from/avoid the bullets isn't always the best choice.

Hm...running away from the bullets may be my issue then. What should I do instead?

Be frontal and dodge the bullets while you shoot the boss.
You can use this tactic when facing Hong Meiling (you know who that is , right?)

If that game have some kind of high score like Nanaca crash. Perhaps you can post your highest score to show off.

Yeah, I heard about Meiling, (and my one friend hates her because of her charging attack).

I guess I tend to stick more towards the bottom of the screen, and then I usually get trapped by the really small bullets.



Yeah, I've been getting better at using those lately, but I tend to use them too early on during a boss fight.

Actually,
Rumia, Cirno, Meiling and Patchouli are relatively easy (in normal MODO). So if you can, make sure you didn't waste any of your life. Feel free to use the bombs, but not your life point.

Try to not stuck at the bottom, since most spellcard pattern was designed to trap you in bottom. And use bombs only when you're in danger of being hit by bullets to clear the screen since that's the main purpose of bomb.

And I also tried the flash game you posted, Rin. I was only able to get up to the clouds; it's pretty challenging.
