I definitely agree with all of this. Hotlinking costs the website additional money, and they are usually struggling to pay for bandwith as it is, so please use websites like sadpanda, (like Jenny said). It's very easy to do, and if you aren't sure how to do it, I, (or someone else, I'm sure), would be more than willing to help.
