I don't think fans really picky on who to abuse. Every touhous get abused at a certain point or so. Maybe fans just... wanted to give each character a unique or funny traits? Ya know, like reimu's is a piss-poor zombie, Sakuya's got breast padding, Sanae's a good gilr, Useless bunny, Alice --> dere.

I don't restrict anyone to make jokes as I do love to joke in either scatalogical or sexual innuendo myself. But to misunderstood the canon and fanon knowledge, again is a different tale to tell.
