Voices of Eden - Voice Acting

Explain?? I am totally clueless when it come to this kinda stuff ^_^;

A fluctuating voice means that you have range. All that's left is to learn how to control it.

I'm very much the same- I don't really know what my natural speaking voice is, either. I think I'm usually deadpan- but I know I'm a bit all over the place.

Ah, I guess I understand, kinda...maybe ^_^; How do you control it?

I think it's just something that came with time.

You wouldn't think it- but I used to be an extreme introvert- and then highschool flipped me 180 degrees.

Self-awareness is obviously very important. Naturally- it can be a hindrance since it feeds into timidness- but if you can pay attention to the fluctuations within your various voices- you'll be able to pinpoint them out and identify them- as well as what muscles you use when making them.

....that went 99.8% all over my head ^^; Can you dumb it down a bit....lot... ^_^;

Self-awareness.

Just pay attention to yourself when speaking- and really listen to all the different sounds and tones that you make. Hear them, memorise them. And then, practice them. While experimenting- you'll often surprise yourself in one of those "I didn't know I could do THAT" moments.

Sometimes- quite often, really- it can be a lot more fun than one would expect.

I find that if I'm feeling embarrassed about a line and record it, I can completely hear the embarrassment in the playback. One of the biggest lessons to learn in VA'ing is totally committing yourself to the role.

So I've learned to just have fun with it. Even if it sounds weird or embarrassing, it's just me putting myself in the place of the character.

Why don't you give it a try, Looky? It's really a lot of fun, especially seeing everything come together in the end.

I really enjoyed these three new installment of this group's work

100 ways of an Exorcist had some excellent acting and jack's voice for the main was awesome XD

Kawaii Not had incredibly hilarious acting that went perfect with the pictures but


The Phoenix Requiem also had good acting and the accents gave a nice touch to the story but

I agree with you on some of the lines being flat. It's just something we'll have to work with everyone to improve.

Can you say which kawaii not clips you thought could have been better? And which Phoenix Requiem roles needed improvement? Don't worry, no one's feelings will be hurt. We're here to learn.

The only line I know that had volume issues in Phoenix Requiem was Robyn's(Jack's). I think I had turned it up at some point and then accidently moved it to the wrong track, so it sounded low. What other volume problem did you notice at the end?

I actually had the most volume issues with 100 Ways of an Exorcist. Those sounds are all over the place. But Jack kinda makes up for everything, lol...

Really though that sucks.

menolly is an excellent replacement. I don't know why Persephone gave up on voice acting, but as long as my group can keep going, I'm happy.

As the editor of that project, I'm curious as to what you thought of the other people in that project. That comment you made is a snub to them, in my personal opinion.

I know I wasnt the bes VA in DoSo Chapter 1, but that had reasons. next ones will be better
