(The only reason I got mine are mostly from the writing and fanfiction forum, and you need a decent enough story to really get rep there, I think. Or a meaningful review.)
Some people could be posting comments to uploads (Forums) or commenting on a poll or torrent upload or something (a good bulk of my posts in fact), and you generally don't get rep for that. Unless someone is feeling generous?

Maybe just put a warning like "Suspicious activity (potential spamming) will be checked and may result in a ban, therefore don't waste your time and energy"?
I mean, as Art said, they do have time to actually post meaningful things in this community and possibly get to 100 posts by round 5, and claim 5 at once.
You have a point. As I said, at least 1 positive or negative rep.

1)to prevent some newly-created users from spamming away to 100 non-IB posts just to claim their waifu.
2)Surely a new user can't ask for rep because it's been disabled.
Thinking about this for the second time, I believe this suggestion of mine won't work due to those good new users not having a chance of claiming their waifus. Besides, the waifu game is open to all with 100+ Non-IB Non-spammed post.
Anyways...

You dont understand the point of this game if you think it's to prevent new users from playing.

Not that I'm *trying* to get to 100+ in time, I was expecting to need to wait for the next one. But I've found enough to constructively comment on that I might make it in before the game ends.
Though I'm with Zandorf, I'm amazed that none of my potential waifus have been claimed yet.

If I can find source, then I'll invalidate any claim without one.
