I have a question about claims related to The Legend of Zelda series.

It's pretty obvious that all of the people in the Zelda games, though sharing names, are different people: The Link in the first one is not the same Link as the one in Windwaker (Unless you seriously think Link is a time traveling immortal child that tosses all his bottles and items before moving away after every single game). It's also pretty obvious that each Zelda is also a different person (Unless you believe shes has the ability to change her very appearance, age, and personality, adding the time travel and immortality from before).

The question I have: Can Tsamari seriously make one claim that takes all 15-20 Zelda even though they are all different people? Just because the names of pretty much everything is passed from one game to the next doesn't make them all the same person or place.

It's somewhat like the Fate series: Just because Nero and Arturia look similar and share the name "Saber" doesn't mean you can take one and have both. They each have different personalities and nuances that that mean far more than just their names or classes.

In summary, I feel that his claim of this...

Two clarifications on claiming mecha, please.

1) What is the minimum size threshold to be a claimable mecha? Some sources define mecha as being larger than human-sized, while others include roughly human-sized powered armor/battlesuits such as the Iron Man suits and Appleseed's Orcs.

2) Some mecha are standard models that are not given individual identifiers/names, such as Appleseed's Landmates. Do we need to identify them as the example piloted/worn by an individual to claim them?

A good mnemonic to remember her is that her name starts with an "N" for "Never Noticed by her Negligent father". I swear they had a Social Link level of negative two.

I'll have to look up on the matter a little bit more, but the rule of thumb to remember is that, if you can prove a Zelda is different from another, they're both claimable.

They're all different Zeldas from different time periods. The idea is that Link and Zelda are constantly reincarnated at the same time in roughly the same place. The image of Link hasn't really changed- slightly less so for Zelda- but in almost every game they are different people.

But that the thing not all the Zedlas and Links in ever game are a reincarnation, there are some games in the timeline were it's the same Zelda and Link for 2-3 games like Wind waker and Phantom Hourglass. and keep in mind that Zelda is a reincarnation of the goddess of Hyrule,so why not all the Zeldas are the same timeline wise they are the same reincarnation wise. So i see Dee point on my claim but Zedla is Zedla over all the games and timelines. the only thing that i can see that someone maybe be able claim is Tetra from wind waker but at the sametime she is Zedla as well. and like i said i see Dee point on one claim on Zedla should not equal all the Zedlas from ever game but at the same time there is not a lot you can do about.

hmm so i did. and the timelines thing is nice seeing how a lot of people don't have the Hyrule historia book like i do.

There's more to what makes a person an individual than where they came from. They do not possess the same memories, personalities, appearance, hobbies, interest, or motivations; In what way can you say that they are the same other than they have the same spiritual mother figure that they aren't even aware of?

If that's how it works then, knowing that all homo-sapiens share 99.9% of their DNA all derived from the same source if you go back far enough, any claim of a human being would take all things considered human regardless of their feelings, experiences, and personality.

And if you think that sounds stupid, do remember it is the exact same thing your doing right now.

I'm not here to fight with you but you must understand, and I think you do from saying the you see my point, that this is a little unfair. Your not the only Zelda fan on this forum, I'm sure.

I can see one person like the Twilight Princess Zelda and another like the Skyward Sword Zelda--both very different from one another with the only similarity between those two being their name, spiritual connection, and being blonde--but saying "first come first serve for both" even though the users want to claim two different people isn't fair to either of them.

We all want to claim as many as we want to, but that doesn't mean we should justify a loophole so we can get them. I understand where your coming from, but I can't see claiming 20 characters and saying they are all "Technically one person" as anything but exploitative. You should have to pick one favorite like the rest of use are constantly having to do.
