[color=#006FFF]Monogamy be damned. Alright, fair enough. Wasn't in my plans anyway so yar.
The character is named, yes, but as she's in a simple 1:30 minute long music compilation video short thingamajigger and as such it's not really part of anything you can buy. It's because of this as to why I'm asking. I'm cool either way--yea or nay--I'm really just curious because of the whole situation of it not being part of something commercially sold.
Actually, this could tie into a broader question of:
Are characters in animated shorts (done for events or otherwise) up for grabs if named? Not all of these shorts are sold commercially, so would someone like Akko (from Little Witch Academia) be claimable over someone like Meme (ME!ME!ME!).
And as an addendum to that query,
what is the situation on characters who have appeared in an animated short (done for an event or otherwise) and have been named but that short is later/now being made into an animated series? Does the fact that the series itself doesn't technically exist yet make it so they aren't claimable yet despite their exact character actually existing in a pilot of sorts? Or does it just mean that one could claim the character as long as it's sourced with the name of the short as opposed to the upcoming anime series (assuming the titles differ)?
For clarification's sake, I'm talking about any character in the animated short Death Billiards, which came out a year or two ago (back with Little Witch), and has since been announced to be getting an anime come Winter season (known as Death Parade). I can assume, if the character is indeed free game, that the sourcing on them would just be "Death Billiards/Death Parade" just to cover ones' own bases on it but, again, that's assuming they actually are up for grabs.
For projects that haven't quite taken off yet, I'm gonna have to say no for now. It was the same with BRS and Squigly- no go until they become official.
So until the anime airs, I'm afraid that anyone from Billiards Parade is gonna have to wait.

Are we only allowed to claim 1 waifu per round or multiple? He didnt address that in the rules.
One waifu per round. Exception being if you start the game late- you can claim as many waifus as there have been rounds
(provided you do not exceed your limit).
e.g. You start playing on Jan 25th. Since we'll be into Round 4 at that point, you would be able to claim up to 4 waifus
(again, only if you qualify).

Also opens the gate for alt-accounts to participate.
That's what I was thinking. Even now there's probably a few people who are making alts in preparation. Not really any point except to troll. And you are basically inviting the trolls through the front door. Even a post count of 30 is better than 0, if only to prevent stuff like that imo.
I am well aware and shall be keeping an eye out for that- particularly for any accounts created recently.

I already told him about the thing with BRS in the first game that he took over, I believe.
Black Rock Shooter from the game, anime, and OVA are completely different and have no relation to each other whatsoever. Their only similarity with each other is the fact that they all have the same name and look the same. So all of them are viable claims. Just mention the true name of which you are claiming in a spoiler just so that you do not spoil anyone.
I can't really vouch too much on the anime, mainly because I hated the butchered designs and didn't watch it but overall, what I said should hopefully clear any doubts you may have had.
Ah, thank you. Any knowledge on whether the human characters and other selves count as distinct or versions of the same being?
I think that was probably Art's call during his game- not mine.
For myself, I consider them all to be one and the same- you claim BRS- that includes Mato, Insane BRS, and both from the OVA and series.
