Watching Anime

I know some of guys go to different sites to watch or download anime, so I was wondering....where do you get your anime from? *********************************** For the past two years I been paying $7 a month to watch anime through CrunchyRoll simply because I can universally watch it through various devices in HD (mostly on the iPad) and because I can simply watch the latest shows instantly. I'm not soo much of a patient guy of having to wait for stuff to be downloaded and then transfering it to my iPad. They're app interface is nice, clean and simple. Ohh and also because if I was ever to travel, the 4g will still stream the video in high quality. Unfortunately... The biggest cons for me is that CrunchyRoll dosent carry most of the good action animes. I'm they type that likes to see cool stuff like Tokyo Ghoul, Death Parade, etc. And lately... CrunchyRoll been carrying a lot... ehh I dont know how to say this... girly high school type stuff, high school harem stuff, card game anime stuff and 90's anime stuff. And so far, I'm only watching 4 shows for this season which is Parasyte, Log Horizon, Durarara, and Cross Ange. Soo... I decided to explore other sites and came upon Funimation and OMG. THEY HAVE SOO MANY ACTION ANIMES! They got the latest episodes of Tokyo Ghoul, Death Parade and some other ones. They even have they're very own app which is a HUGE Plus for me. But it costed me $10 dollars ;_; The only problem I'm having is that theyre is about six 30 sec advertisments in each episodes, whixh is soo annoying. Soo I'm going to buy their 12 month subscribtion for $40 dollars, but before I do it, I want to see the sites you guys recommend or use so I can try dem out. ************************************* TL;DR I want to see what sites you guys watch your anime from and see if I like it before I pay for Funimation premium subscription. EDIT: Ohh and if you guys have any anime that meets my prefrences, feel free to recommend me some.

Well it's 720p maximized to fit a 1k screen. I might as well maximize it myself.

It's not really terrible. If anything, it's pretty straightforward. Just click on the "download" icon and it sends you a DDL site and you're good to go. Much easier to do, in my opinion.

The source file is still a watermarked 720p (if you're lucky) file with shit encoding that's inferior to torrent in every sense. And codecs can even further improve on the core file to make it look better. For example I'm using KCP (CCCP is another popular choice) with mpc-hc.

Those screenshots has some artifacting too.

That's why he said "eww." Upscaling is a sin when it comes to quality.
